• WINTERIZE YOUR GOLF
  What does that mean? How can we or do we "winterize" the game of golf, or our golf swing? That may sound like the silliest thing you have ever heard, but it works! Most golfers won't practice, I'm talking about the real kind of practice that pays big dividends, in the spring, summer, or fall. What makes anyone think they are going to do anything about their golf game in the dead of winter?

• On Your Mark – Get Set- Play Golf!
  So you want to start playing golf? You have several hurdles to overcome in order to get started, so I am going to cover some of them in this issue. First of all, you need a set of golf clubs, and they can be very expensive. I suggest you analyze your budget, and do not be concerned how small it might turn out to be. There is always an answer. A full set of brand new clubs can easily cost all the way up to $2000, or more. A full set of good used clubs, though, can be as inexpensive as a couple hundred dollars.

  Study after study shows that golfers all want to become more consistent with their shots, and with their golf game. What is consistency in the first place? I thought I would go to Mr. Daniel Webster for the answer: "the achievement of a level of performance that does not vary greatly in quality over time; His principal problem in golf has been consistency."

  Golf is an easy game! That's what I said to a student who came to see me recently from Atlanta, Georgia. The gentleman plays to an 8 handicap and he traveled clear across the country to have me help him with his golf swing and game.
