Are You A FOODIE?

We would like to congratulate Chavo Quintana from Crawdaddy’s in Visalia, this month’s Trends Bartender of the Month!
You may know Chavo from his early days. He started in the business as a bus boy at The Depot. Like many of us who get our start as a mixologist, the bartender called in sick. Chavo said management told him, “YOU’RE UP” and that was the beginning. Bartending from his notes, it took him a bit to memorize recipes and get up to speed but he has enjoyed it from then on. He also bartends at Azuls Mexican Grill a couple of shifts a week.
He likes everything about the bartending business. Mixing new concoctions and meeting new people make work fun. He wants to continue this career as long as possible.
He is known for a drink he calls, “Sweet Death”. He and his buddy, Albert came up with it and it is now added to the computer call list at Crawdaddy’s because of its popularity. We had a sample and the name is very appropriate. This one will sneak up on you so be careful! The list of what goes into the drink will tell you why…… Vodka, Rum, Gin, Tequila, Peach Schnapps, Apple Pusher, and it’s topped off with a little cranberry juice. He also serves them as shooters.
