Hey Bartender!

We are honoring Heidi Matthews from the Visalia Country Club this month! Heidi was nominated for her friendly service and ability to know what her customers want before they order.
She is taking classes at COS and preparing for a career as a Nurse. She has worked at the Country Club for the past 6 years.  She loves the fact her “office” has walls of windows that overlook one of the most beautiful parts of the golf course and on the clear days she can see our gorgeous mountains.
Heidi talks about the job.  “I thought it might get boring being a private club, but as it turns out that is what makes it such a great job! I know everyone and what they like to eat and drink and how they would like it served.  This allows me to give better service and enjoy what I do. I have the best clientele because they are always happy to be here!”
Heidi learned the art of bartending the hard way. She was the fill-in bartender at the Radisson when she first started, only stepping in when the real bartender needed a break.  She learned very quickly doing that because she didn’t like asking customers what was in the cocktail or how to make it.
Her most popular cocktail to make at the Country Club is the Stockholm Royal.  It is like a Raspberry Lemon Drop but made with a float of champagne.  So if you like vodka and champagne, this is the best of both worlds!  Delicious and refreshing!
