Bartender of the Month

This month we had a great time meeting Jordan Heaton from Azul Mexican Grill, Trends Bartender of the Month!
Jordan’s customers love her friendly manner and wonderful personality. You may recognize her from her 4+ years at the Vintage Press. She knows quite a few people in the area and has a tremendous following.   “I love the interaction with my customers and developing new recipes for cocktails”, says Jordan.   She is also a student at Fresno Pacific University.  Jordan plans to eventually use her skills as a communications major in her future career doing event planning and marketing at the corporate level for a non- profit organization.  She loves working in the community.  We love her cocktails! She made us one of the Martinis from Azul’s menu. The Watermelon Basil made with Corzo Silver Tequila muddled with fresh watermelon and basil and the glass is rimmed with Chile powder!  The sweet and spicy is a great combination… Yum!  There are several special Martinis on the menu all made with Tequila and a variety of fresh fruits! In addition the Margarita’s looked like a big mouthwatering treasure…this in not your average margarita.  When Jordan started at Azul, she was trained by Manny Hinojosa. He is a national award winning mixologist who creates his own syrups, juices and garnishes.
We will be back to visit Jordan and try one of the other tequila Martinis- like the Ginger Pomegranate or the Guava-tini!
