Bartender of the Month

He has a FLARE for it!
That would be Art Schlater from Applebee’s!
Yes, we witnessed the art of “Flare Bartending” during happy hour at Applebee’s as Art was completing his shift.  Not only did we have some great cocktails but the show wasn’t bad either!  Art has been in the business for 11 years and 4 years have been behind the BAR.  We had some great conversations and some where even in French! Along with the ART of Flare – this ART can speak French fluently.  Since this location is next to the highway, visitors from all over stop in to dine.  His second language comes in handy at times.   Art learned to speak after high school when he lived in Belgium.  He also loves to cook. Arts host “Father” there was a Caterer and he learned to love cooking through him.
As we were completely entertained and enjoying a sampling of appetizers, we agreed Art was a great bartender. He tossed around a tall glass and a couple of bottles on the back of his hand as he told us about his favorite “Flare move” called the Stall.   We sampled the signature drink served most at Applebee’s – The Perfect Margarita. Delicious and goes a long way!   His friendly manner and smile made the happy hour a truly happy time! Thank you all for voting for him – Great Choice!
