Congratulations to Jorie DiMeco of Orange Blossom Junction in Exeter

Hey Bartender

by D.D. Macedo

Jorie is not a stranger to bartending. She’s been doing it the past four years.  Loving the atmosphere and the ability to meet lots of new people everyday while she works makes it a great job for her. Jorie, being a great “talker” says it works out for her and her customers. She says that talking a lot can be a benefit when it comes to this job. She makes great friends with many of her regulars. Her favorite customers are the ones that come in and instead of ordering their usual, ask her what she suggests or tell her to just surprise them! This allows her to create something just for them…custom cocktails.

Jorie has a signature drink that she likes to call her “Peach Ring Martini” made with –you guessed it, Absolute Peach Vodka.  She shakes it up with a little triple sec, orange juice and adds a float of grenadine. Top it off with some fruit and it is too die for. Refreshing, peachy and pretty!  Customers started ordering it the minute she made it for us.   It goes down really smooth and one is just not enough to satisfy that fresh, peachy craving.

We found out that Jorie bartends while she is attending Cosmetology School. Her goals are to graduate and then take over her Mom’s salon, Tangles in Exeter. Although she loves it at Orange Blossom Junction and says it is great working for Lucy and Doug. “They are very good to us, always understanding and thoughtful. We are like a big family here and all very close.”
We here at Trends will be back for another Peach Ring Martini before the peach season is over. They are just too good! Thanks for sharing Jorie! And here’s to you and to your future successes!
