FRUIT BATS Land in VISALIA!
SoundTRACKS
» aaron gomes
For a bit over decade now Eric Johnson’s Seattle-based band, Fruit Bats, have toured the world many times, and played numerous shows with Wilco, Modest Mouse, Iron & Wine, and The Shins. In fact, Johnson’s musical capacity impressed James Mercer of the Shins so much that he asked Johnson to join the band. After two years of touring and recording with The Shins, Eric Johnson is now putting the finishing touches on a new Fruit Bats album; four years in the making.
Fruit Bats’ music, like many great bands, evolves and changes from album to album, but one steady consistency is Johnson’s intelligent folk and pop sensibility, along with his pristine voice. Look for the new Fruit Bats release on SUB POP Records later this year.
To hear the music now, come on out to The Cellar Door on Saturday, January 31st for their live performance!
